Inking and Drawing and Thinking
While slowly finishing Desafinado chapter 03 I began to think of something that I have lost hope for.
Publishing my own manga in a local publisher. That is.
It’s something that I had in mind for a really really long time but after seeing the industry and the *cough* mangaka fee, I decided to work on my own online manga instead. It’s much more easier to manage and I can do anything I want with the story line etc..etc…
But I don’t feel like I’ve done enough to move on. To be a real mangaka that is.
So I decided to think about the storyline more seriously and the drawing style too. It’s impossible for me to draw the whole thing alone if I still insist of making high-quality style like I’ve done in Desafinado. I need a great amount of time to adjust the paneling, the setting, the character design and those inking… I often ink the page twice ya know… first the light ink then the brush ink then sometimes the black hair ink » referring to valentine hair ;_; then the toning part which is a fun moment when I can really be happy seeing of the pages finally “tells a story”.
However all of those things are practically giving me a massive headache if I have a real deadline~
Therefore I have to adjust all that to make myself a completely efficient mangaka.
I have research the best style to work with this project and I found it. The clean line art with a neat panel style manga that use a small amount of tone.
If I can finish the first 40page +++ plus 2 color page for the cover, I’ll definitely contact the publisher right away. O,yeah I also need the character profiles and the short story description too.
I’ll be giving myself 1-2 weeks top to do this.

In a rush
I realize that in my previous attempt of uploading chapter of my online manga Desafinado, while looking at the pages thoroughly, that I used the wrong size brush pen. Therefore, I’m not too happy viewing the end result, the lines were just too thick and I feel sort of pissed.
This time I’ll upload the next chapter after carefully adjust the lines.

this time I try to sketch in photoshop instead of manga studio. this is supposed to a deviation for my DA page. but I don’t know if i can finish this in a week. I believe it’s gonna take at least two months to finish the full color page. but hey, a sketch is a start right?!

Late night phone call
- Me: Hello! hi sweetie!
- Her: Nad, I can stay at your house tonight please?
- Me: ....
- Her: Please
- Me: (I guess she's having a fight with her boyfriend / parents again)
- Her: Please
- Me: Are you running a way from home?
- Her: I'm going to....
- Me: -_-;; Hey c'mon. Every parents love their child in the weirdest way it's our curse to be their kin.
- Her: But..but..
- Me: Running away from home is bad. Everyone will get worried. Besides you can always chat with him (referring to our bff the no.1 shrink who always online 24/7).
- Her: What?
- Me: I'm saying... he'll be online next week, he just need to go out of town for a week or so.
- Her: But I'm at his house.
- Me: But he's not there...
- Her: He's right next to me...
- Me: Duh!
- Her: Nad, I can stay at your house tonight please?
- Me: (the irony of handling teenage 'runaways' always makes me wanna vomit, it happens like 100 times in high school but now... everyone needs to grow up. period.)
